Tuition, Fees and Schedule Options for the 2023-24 School Year

Harmony Montessori School will be opening a 4th primary classroom this fall and will maintain a ratio of 20 children to three teachers in each of our Primary (ages 2 1/2-6) classrooms.

Harmony Montessori School offers 5-day enrollment options for our Primary (ages 2 1⁄2 – 6) program. The primary children begin at 8:30 and the school day ends at 3:00. Additional aftercare hours are available through our Oasis program.Harmony’s tuition is an annual amount that can be paid in one sum or divided into 10 payments billed on the first of each month and due by the 5th (August through May).

 

Primary Program (ages 2 1/2 – 6/Preschool – K)

School Day Program – 8:30am to 3:00pm

20 children with 3 teachers.  The Primary Community is a 3 year cycle where a child will remain before moving on to elementary.  It is during this time that a child develops a strong sense of self, academic skills and a robust love of learning.  

Oasis Program – before and after care

The Oasis Program continues our Montessori philosophy model to provide a stable extended day experience. Children will spend more time outdoors, art, yoga, music and sports. Children typically combine classrooms during Oasis.  AM/Before-Care is available between 7:30 – 8:30 am.  PM/After-Care is available between – 3:00-5:30 pm.  We offer two monthly packages for Oasis care or an hourly rate of $11/hour.

Tuition for the primary program is inclusive of all fees and includes all meals (snack and lunch).

All extra hours billed at a rate of $11/hour.

Preschool Promise and Preschool for All

Harmony Montessori is a qualified school for both Preschool Promise and Preschool for All.

Preschool Promise covers the cost for families to access quality education for children ages 3-4, 5 days a week from 8:30 – 3:00 plus lunches.  It does not cover summer care. Preschool Promise has income restrictions for program qualification.

Preschool for All (PFA) connects 3 and 4 year olds in Multnomah County access to free, culturally responsive, inclusive preschool experiences.  Preschool For All covers our entire school day and Oasis care for the entire school year and summer programing.  All families who have a child who is 3 or 4 before the school year begins is eligible to apply and enter the lottery for placement.

Application Process

Our enrollment process begins with a tour of our school to get to know your family and your child and to share our mission, community, and visit our classrooms and outdoor space. After touring, if you are interested in applying to one of our programs you can reach out to our Enrollment Coordinator to request the link to our online application. Once we have received your application, you will be invoiced for the application fee and tuition deposit.  

Tuition Deposit and Application Fee

To join our waiting list and to enroll at Harmony, we ask for an application fee is $150 and a tuition deposit of $500, for a total of $650.  

The tuition deposit is applied to your child’s last month at Harmony. Both are non-refundable.

Preschool Promise and Preschool for All families tuition deposit and application are covered within the program.

Policies and Procedures

Applications are processed on the date we receive them along with the deposit and application fee. Enrollment acceptance priorities are given in the following order:

  • Currently enrolled children.
  • Children of staff members.
  • Siblings of enrolled children.
  • Alumni families.
  • Wait list families:
    a.) Historically underrepresented peoples. b.) Montessori experience. c.) Remaining eligible applicants.
