Luz has joined Harmony as a classroom assistant in the summer of 2023. She is originally from Mexico, Origen Latino. She has received a degree in pedagogy, a science that studies education in its entirety, knowing the human being as well as the institutions, models, techniques and theories, to provide educational teaching-learning solutions. By studying this science, she has acquired knowledge about human development as well as its environment and its influence on learning. She also acquired knowledge about educational institutions and their administration, and educational plans and programs, always working side by side with other sciences. Luz is interested in neuroscience, which is why early childhood education is highly relevant. She believes that if an infant is provided with adequate guidance, their personal-physical-emotional-academic development will be highly elevated. She is interested in the pedagogical model designed by Dr. Montessori, for her respect for the development and independence of each child. For Luz, the teaching-learning process fascinating, and the achievements she has seen using this method are incredible. In her free time, she enjoys my time reading I like knowledge readings in psychology, education and neuroscience, cultural diversity interests, and walking outdoors in nature. Additionally she is a volunteer at the Multnomah library helping adults obtain their GED.
