Sharing will take place every Thursday and will begin this week. This year I will be implementing the sharing process that Alicia (Waterfall Room teacher) has introduced to our school. Each week there will be a theme. This process will provide continuity and help the child really think about what it is they’re choosing to bring in for sharing. I am attaching a “sharing list” with this newsletter and will be posting it under our classroom news on our classroom bulletin board.Sharing items can be placed in our special “sharing basket” in the morning and then taken out of the basket and brought home at the end of the day. Please remember the following guidelines:

Sharing items should not be placed in cubbies.

Sharing items should not include TV or movie related images or any object showing violent imagery.

Sharing is optional. It is absolutely fine if your child does not want to participate.
They will show interest in doing so when they ready.

Parent-teacher conferences are a great way to find out how your child is progressing in the classroom. Here are a couple of tips for a successful conference:

Talk to your child about school before the conference. Find out what they like or have concerns about.

Complete the Conference Questionnaire and return by Tuesday, April 5th.

Write down any questions you would like to address.

Confirm your conference time and arrive a couple of minutes before your conference begins.

Take notes about what has been discussed especially if you need to share information with a spouse or partner.

Please be aware of when your conference is scheduled to end.

Sign-up’s for Parent-teacher Conferences can be found outside the door of your child’s classroom. If you need an alternate time you will find request forms in a pocket under the sign-up sheet.
